Decades after an apocalyptic flood, a town hall convenes as an old journal — an artifact and remnant of pre-flood life — is found, parsed through, and discussed. Through dialogue between the performers and audience, interspersed narration from a chorus, and a sing-a-long where poems from the journal are sung to the tune of popular folk songs, a meaning-making exercise is conducted in which a group collectively uncovers knowledge of the past.
